All of us are called to “pray AND work”, and do it together.
 
As one who has redeemed, and made to sit with Christ in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:5-7), and to stand in the gap and pray as a member of God's heavenly council that moves by faith from glory to glory in the Spirit, and let's princes in powers and know that we mean business, you too are called to pray AND work.
 
What can happen at your workplace that isn’t happening that would bring New Creation to bear upon the current reality you are dealing with?
 
What can happen in your home that isn’t happening that would bring New Creation to bear upon the current reality your are dealing with?
 
Don’t simply pray and then work, and don’t simply work and then pray! St. Benedict, while long since gone to his reward, speaks from ancient history and tells us it is prayer AND work.
 
When you see your self as part of God's new creation, and not simply someone who has been forgiven so that you can go to heaven when you die, you will wake up to all the really Good News that is the Gospel of Christ, the gospel of the Kingdom.
